Tasha Murphy
Owner/Licensed Massage Therapist
(North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodyworker #2374)
I have been fascinated by pregnancy for as long as I can remember . I remember going to the library after school when I was 12 years old looking up books on pregnancy.
I have also always seemed to have a sixth sense in regard to it. I have told 4 women they were pregnant prior to them knowing they were expecting!
I earned my massage therapy license 10 years ago and and have had the privilege of working at a large resort spa in Asheville with a reputation for excellence.
The past 5 years I have followed my heart's pull and learned all I can about supporting women as they transition into motherhood.
I have two separate certifications in
Perinatal
Massage, one from Carole
Osborne-Sheets and one from Claire Marie Miller. I am a Fertility Massage Specialist. I am a few births away from earning my doula certification.
I make Aromatherapy and Energy healing a part of my daily life. I feel as though it is my destiny in life to nurture women so they can become the happy, healthy, confident mothers they long to be.

Maya Laura
Licensed Massage Therapist
(North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodyworker
#3205)
I have always felt a special honor and magic in working with mothers-to-be.
In 2009, I earned my pregnancy massage certification with Claire Marie Miller . In eight years as a licensed massage therapist, I have had the privilege to work with many women.
Recently, I gave birth to my own beautiful little girl, safely and naturally at home and attended by midwives and friends. Massage has played a big part in the ease of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and as as new mom, I have found self care to be more necessary than ever.
Proficient in many different modalities, my truest talent as a bodyworker is a sensitive mix of relaxation and therapeutic massage. I enjoy helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies. I am thrilled to continue my practice at Spa Materna - feeling good is what I like to cultivate for myself and what I nourish for those whom I touch.
